Long Walks and Bike Rides

The Charles River in North Newton
Including Watertown and Waltham

Pathways are complete on one or both sides of the Charles for almost all of the way from Watertown Square through Newton, Watertown, and Waltham to Commonwealth Avenue in Auburndale.

A variety of round trips are possible, as are one-way walks using an MBTA bus in the other direction. Here are four possible routes:

Walk or Bike	2 mile loop	Watertown Square to Bridge Street loop
Walk or Bike	7 mile loop	Watertown Square to Moody Street loop
Walk or Bike	12 mile loop	Watertown Square to Auburndale loop
MBTA + Walk	3 miles	Moody Street to Watertown Square by foot and MBTA bus
